At least the Spanish Royalty has some sense....
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

        I think he's getting a bit dotty.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

I'm amazed theres still such things as "royal families" in this world of ours. The whole idea is archaic.
I see the world through bloodshot eyes

I'd never heard of his gaffes before, but this one had me

Prince Philip has previously provoked controversy - during a Royal visit to China in 1986 he described Peking as "ghastly" and told British students: "If you stay here much longer you'll all be slitty-eyed."

Yeah, he's precious is that one

Of course I think that we should get rid of the lot of them...but we only keep them to keep the American tourists flocking in. Of course they never get to see them anyway. We could just pretend to still have them, saving money but still drawing in the American tourists. Perhaps just put some robots on the balcony now and again for image Although I think the Queen Mother is a robot already with all the false bits she's had put in her

The Spanish Royal family doesn't really do anything. Again as somebody already said, all a royal family is for today is for tourism.

All of the country affairs our handled by the Prime Minister.

This thread only gets 2 stars? It's an outrage I tell you, an outrage

Same in the UK Gian, all our monarchy does it open a few buildings and cut a few ribbons. The PM and government and parliament do all the running and decisionmaking...the role of the House of Lords is diminished compared to the House of Commons too.

Does the monarch still have to personally sign all legislation into law? Her representative does that for her here.

Hmmm... Didn't one of the Spanish princes end his relation with a model just because she posed in lingerie in the past?
