STD surely is a more succinct and clear acronym than VD.

Hey, if a guy expressed an interest like that Rich, he'd get similar disdain.

Rubbish. I've seen blokes do it all the time. When he does it, he is thought of as a 'lad', when a woman does it, she is thought of as a 'slut'

And other people's attitudes are relevant to this thread how?

            No, I'm not gay.
            Are you sure?

It's that I am picky when it comes to choosing females, and I'd rather females be choosy too rather than just flinging themselves at any random guy such as me!
Same here. I wouldn't go date some random slut from I met in some club. That still doesn't mean I don't enjoy their sexy looks and dances. You on the other hand have a "eww, girls" attitude when a girl dances with you in a club...which can only mean two things. A. The girls were too ugly for your liking. Or B. You're a homosexual.

I know plenty of guys who care little about random broads they see in bars and clubs, but they still don't mind at all when one of those broads is dancing/flirting/etc with them.

Yep, I never used to like dancing...now I do.
So you like to dance, but not with girls?

Promiscuity is not a problem! Your reaction to that seems wierd, infat - I think it's funny when girls hit on me like that, it doesn't bother me. 95% of my friends would have sex on a first date, none believe in abstinance before marraige.

And when did they start putting nipples on maniquins?

Stew, have you considered the possibility that perhaps she WAS choosy, and simply was attracted to you?

She wasn't choosy as she approached me only on looks alone. In other words, she could equally have approached twenty other guys in the club as it was quite busy and no way would I be the best-looking guy in there.

                              No sex is completely "safe".

And my comment wasn't directed at you.
