I believe race to be one of the many identities we humans endow ourselves with. Turning a blind eye to racial inequality in the name of freedom is almost as racist to my eye as actually suppressing the weaker racial groups in a society.

I am not racist, but I do believe that different races have different traits and abilities.
I take it we are going by the dictionary definition of racism?
I dont assume, I believe what I believe because of the research I have done and because of my life experiences. Racists just hate others because they look different.Racism:The assumption that one race is biologically superior to another.
Some people on this forum have accused me of being racist but I dont have a problem interacting with other races. My friends are a pretty diverse bunch. If I was hateful or intolerant of other races I wouldnt be living in New York City would I?...people like to cry a lot... - Pekka

This reminds me of the Discworld bit about Rincewind, that he thought he was a racist because he had been in all sorts of races, esp running away from things. Not till later that he found out what the word actually meant.

You have to ask yourself "why are those races weaker?". You cant force "equality" upon races that are inherently unequal without changing their genetic makeup. We are all equal before God, but our mortal bodies are far from equal.Originally posted by Snapcase

Frequently weaker social groups have a weaker social status not because of inferior genetic makeups that you seem to imply. Which, of course, makes you a racist.Originally posted by Caligastia

Actually, that would be a sterotype. Sterotyping racial groups wouldn't make him a racist, just undereducated.Originally posted by Urban Ranger
