I would think CNN would get higher ratings just because it's international.

    I get...
CNN, Headline News, Headline Sports, CNNi, and probably some others I'm forgetting...
    No Fox News though.

Sorry... we pay over a million dollars a year for access to the full set of ratings... it is not available for "free" by any link... only small portions of it (like what appears in USA Today, and other newspapers.

At least I'm basing my info on hard facts... you are guessing.
But you are right when it comes to O'Rielly... he has scared the crap out of CNN...

Don't forget the now defunct CNN Sports Illustrated! My theory is that they didn't incorporate swimsuits into enough of their news...
I never know their names, But i smile just the same

America's corporate media is only 'left-wing' when compared to the dim-witted reactionaries who complain about it. Compared to the "left wing" media of any other country, American news is very right of center. Who exactly are these raving liberals supposed to be anyway? Tom Brokaw? Ha.

But what does it matter? Do you believe in freedom of speech or don't you? If you do, then how can you complain if people freely express their liberal views? And what do you propose? That we force liberal journalists to write with a right wing bias that they don't believe in? How would you do that exactly?

If you want more conservative journalism, then become a conservative journalist. What's stopping you? Conservatives certainly have enough money to open newspapers. If they don't choose to do so, it is nobody's fault but their own. And if the reason they don't choose to do so is because not enough people will buy it, then obviously more people want liberal press, and it would be wrong to force unfair balance on them.

The final possibility is that people who believe in right wing doctrines are also largely too stupid to read or watch the media. That alone would seem to be a good enough argument against giving such views any more support.
Now get the Hell out of our Galaxy!

Don't tell us that journalists are fair and even when they have a bias towards the left.

Aren't right wingers supposed to be the rich?

And look what happened to Murdoch with FoxNews?

But what does it matter? Do you believe in freedom of speech or don't you? If you do, then how can you complain if people freely express their liberal views?

Let me get this straight you are complaining about people complaining about someone else's views. And then saying that the journalists have free speech, so others shouldn't critque them? HELLO?! Pot calling kettle black.

Take your leftist dribbel and shut it. You know the only reason you don't care is because they pander to brainless sheep like yourself. You like what they tell you because that is what you believe. Sorry that we 'evil' right wingers would like our news with a little less bias in it. If you are going to tell us the news is fair, it better ****ing be fair, you little twerp.

Overall... you are correct. If you were to look at the media in total, one could probably say that it leans more left than right.
It also happens to be the "nature of the beast" since most reporters are more liberal because of their training in journalism.
(I'm a journalist major, and my education was very left leaning... not that I agree with it anymore )

Yet, on the other hand... you can find many excellent examples of non-biased middle of the road journalism... and some equally excellent right wing media. You just have to know where to look.

As pointed out, we have "free journalism" in the US, so you can find any point of view you are interested in

So you dont think theres anything wrong with journalists distorting facts to present their own views? I dont have a problem with someone expressing their views, but it should not be in the guise of objective journalism.

I never suggested that journalists be "forced" to write with a right-wing bias. All I want is objective journalism.

You really are a partisan knee-jerk liberal arent you? The reason you cant see any bias is because you are so biased yourself.

Sounds like a pretty reasonable, intelligent, and rational argument to me.

                            When you make insults like:

                            dim-witted reactionaries

expect to get as well as you give.

Sorry, we don't lay down and let you roll all over us. We fight fire with fire.

And yes, it was more "reasonable, intelligent, and rational" than the biased one, Khan Singh, arguments.

I know there are many excellent journalists out there who sincerely want to report the facts, but unfortunately many of the more well known journalists let their own bias get in the way of facts.

When I watch the news I am not looking for a point of view, I want to know what happened in the world today.

Yeah... they become well known and then they feel that THEY are part of the news... sad... but you know, many people don't seem to mind.

For me, viewing the news is simple... know the bias, and take it into consideration when viewing or reading it
