Are you sure that it is statutory rape? I thought that it was another charge all together.

The movie rocked. I think the US should get involved in more conflicts that aren't our business just so we can have cool movies

Amazing. I didn't know that and don't know what to make of it now.
Re the Somali habit of moving toward the action, I think a majority were/are on skat (hallucinagenic laced tobacco-like leaf, IIRC), so they were totally whatcked out of their minds.

I liked it when that skinny got hit by the RPG.
He's got some of his vision back now, some of his hearing, but still goes through life with two missing limbs and a lot of holes in him.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Cinema goers should not expect a history lesson from the military thriller "Black Hawk Down," which sidelines the role Malaysia played in rescuing U.S. troops in Somalia, Defence Minister Najib Tun Razak said.
"We are disappointed that the film 'Black Hawk Down' had denied the sacrifices of our Malaysian Battalion team during the rescue operations when two U.S. helicopters went down in Somalia," Najib was quoted as saying by Wednesday's New Straits Times newspaper.
"We cannot stop anyone from making their movies for commercial value... however, we have to take it with a pinch of salt," the minister added.
However, Najib's spokesman told Reuters he had not yet seen the movie, although he had read the book.
Eighteen U.S. Army Rangers and one Malaysian died on October 3, 1993 when Somali militias shot down two U.S. helicopters in the capital Mogadishu.
The Red Cross reported 500 Somalis wounded and reporters saw truckloads of dead after what was one of the deadlier firefights in a botched U.S. and United Nations military intervention in Somalia between December 1992 and March 1995.
The Ridley Scott-directed film, produced for the Sony Corp. (6758.T) by Revolution Studios, depicts an abortive U.S. effort to oust Somali warlord General Mohamed Farah Aideed.
The production led the North American box office last weekend and also opened at number two in Britain and number one in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
The New Straits Times also quoted Colonel Mohd Rozi Baharom, the then deputy commander of Malaysia's contingent in Somalia, as voicing disappointment at the film's version of events.
"Our soldiers were shot at from every angle and it was very intense for everyone.
"I would rather that the writer did not even mention the role of the Malaysian troops during the rescue than change the whole history," he was quoted as saying.

What's this I hear about Somali's cheering each time an American went down?
If the US believes that it has the right to go into action wherever it pleases for whatever stupid purpose, then the people of those nations have all the right to go mad with joy at seeing some American haughty, beefy, army ranger cowboy get killed!
