Looky here! Just checked my wallet and I have a Letzebuerg 2 euro coin! National design looks very much like ours, so I didn't notice until now. Better spend it fast before shopkeepers refuse it.
That reminds me of a traumatic childhood experience. I'd saved for weeks and weeks for a box of toy soldiers, and gleefully arrived at the toy shop with a bag full of small change that added up to exactly 2 pounds 99.
The assistant counted it all out (which took a good ten minutes), and was just about to give me the box of soldiers, when she noticed one of the 5p coins was from the Channel Islands. She had to fetch the manager to ask whether she could accept it, and the manager said no, she couldn't. So, having only 2.94 of legal tender, I had to put all my change back in the bag and go home, without my toys.
