Imagine you crash your car into a tree and, when the police arrive, they find you high as a kite. They also find some cocaine on you, and syringes in the car. So they find out you've been staying in the area, get a warrant to search your hotel, and find more lots more syringes there.

How long would your butt be in jail for? (Bonus question: how long would it be there if you were poor and black?)

Whereas Yasmine Bleeth just got probation and 100 hours of community service. Gotta love that whole "blind justice" concept.

Frankly, I've never found her very attractive. Can't argue with the body, of course, but a pretty face is not one of her assets, IMO.

As for it being standard first time punishment in Michigan, well... punishments are actually all over the map for first-timers. Her punishment was definitely not out-of-the-ordinary. On the other hand, I'd be awful surprised if a young black male from Detroit would have gotten so lenient a sentence.
