My son is 13 and I have banned him from the OT.

Of course that means that as soon as he logs on he probably heads straight here.

Of course. But if you want to censor your child from OT-like things, it's best not to let him go on 'Poly at all. There can be inappropriate things in signatures, for example.

True, but he isn't naive. He understands a lot about life. I try to keep exposure to age inappropriate things to a minimum figuring that society will show him all he needs to know (and then some!), but we have always been able to talk about anything so I feel like I can do something to keep things in perspective.

But the forum would be so much more fun with father/son quibbles!

                I can't believe I have to vote I'm in my 30's.

I still look young. They still call me kid at work. I look like I'm in my 20's.

I'm gonna be 38 at the end of April. I think I'm finally old, because up 'till now, I always would say I was whatever age I was going to be at the begining of December, since I was closer to my next birthday than the previous one. I don't act like someone my age, but like a twenty-something, and I look much younger than I am.

On the other hand, there are new aches, and I'm painfully aware of the things I can no longer do, and little chegitz is quite as eager as he used to be. You get used to a certain level of performance from your body as a youth, and when you can't push yourself as hard as you once could, it's kind of sad.

What a drag it is getting old.

Isn't there a way to block certain sites if you don't have a password? That's what you could do for the OT, if you think he'll go to it.

Didn't your son almost start a real flame war here quite a while ago by making some pro-Bush/Reagan statement(?, something like that.) And you got accused of being a DL!

That isn't unusual. One party for the family, another for friends.

                        edit: or what Spray wrote.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

23... dreading 25, because then I'm on the downward side of the hump towards 30. And then its all over

But yeah, I always forget my age. Once I hit 21 I lost track. I'll often have to pause for a few seconds when people ask... I must look stupid.

Ah, for me it was reaching twenty for some reason, I guess not being a teenager anymore was something I figured would just never happen.

35 btw. And NOT feeling it!

                              Noo'pe, that's actually quite normal.

We seem to have a lot of old folks running around here. That makes me feel better about being 28.
