NK has never officially been at peace with SK. They were supposed to reunify after WWII. Neither was what could be considered a sovereign state when the war broke out. And they haven't signed a peace treaty with SK since then, so even if they invaded tomorrow they wouldn't have done what you claimed they've done.

I don't agree. The Yanks and Sovs agreed to divide the country. The first Kim convinced Stalin to let him 'reunify'. The North attacked what was a defacto seperate state.

At any rate, the comparison still runs the wrong way, no matter how you compare the state of the states. NK attacked. Israel was attacked. Bit of a difference there, I think.

The Yanks and Sovs agreed to divide the country and reunify it at some unspecified point in the future. Neither was a recognised sovereign state at the point where Kim I attempted to speed up that reunification process...

And while Israel was certainly not the only aggressor in 1948 it was far from an innocent victim. The arab states and Israel were both eager to get their hands on each other.
