The city should do eminent domain and demolish the building. That would be better for the city's health overall. Only evicting the tenants may make it an abandoned building used by crack addicts.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Since when did you swing to the left? I'm disappointed in you asher. You adopted the same old bull**** rhetoric I have heard from many. Afghanistan and Iraq aren't disasterous wars. They are wars of liberation.

I'm really disappointed in you, asher.

As far as the building goes, the city needs to re-examine safety policy.

I swing left and right, where appropriate.

I support Afghanistan, I do not support Iraq.

And Iraq is a disaster. It's not any better now than it was before, but thousands of young Americans have died, and many more Iraqis have died as well.

These kids that are being killed over there..they're 18, 19, 20 years old, man. They're our age.

                  Think about it.

Yeah, they'll sure be in good shape when the deficit has to be paid off and interest rates rise .

-$300 million... that is the gap in the budget. That is what happened under the current mayor's adminstration. $11 billion expansion at the L.A airport.. you want to know what that was about? It was for expanding a few terminals. $11 ****ing billion dollars.. what a waste of money.

No you think about it. Get your head out of the sand and think for yourself. This is a war of liberation to remove the tyranny of Saddam Hussein. I say if I was in Bush's position I would of took the chance. There are many thousands upon thousands more who were freed from the torture of Hussein.

                        SO YOU THINK ABOUT IT!

Who's going to remove the tyranny of Bush from the US? I hope the French come and liberate us .

The majority of the recent mayors have been REPUBLICANS! The city is a disfunctional mess because there are a million different deligates on the council none of which can agree on much of anything. Not that they could do much if they wanted to because everything is completely rigged so that the subcommittees and special interests can block anything they don't like.
