The odds that he'll turn out to be half as good as Elway are slim.

I don't care if he gets the passing yards as Elway.
But I'm saying a running QB needs to learn he has to pass more if they are going to go anywhere. I would cite McNabb as an example. Although perhaps not the best example because they haven't made it to the superbowl. But they've done better than Atlanta.
When he gets 2 superbowl rings like Elway, then I'll be a believer. Actually if he makes it to the supebowl, I'll be a believer.

Atlanta has the crappiest recievers in the league, by FAR. They have a #2 playing as the #1 WR and the rest of their recievers are #3 wideouts at best (though maybe we'll give Jenkins a year or so to prove himself).
When an 11-4 team has the TE be its leading reciever with less than 50 catches, the WRs suck, badly.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. So far, Jackson, while a great runner, isn't nearly as good in the passing game.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

GREAT example! Look at what happened to McNabb's passing numbers when Owens joined the team. He went from an above average QB (who had comparable career stats to Brad Johnson) to MEGA QB.

The team should provide better wide recievers.

The O-Line is below average and they only look servicable because Vick can get out of trouble so much. Of course, Vick has been sacked the most of anyone in the league, showing you how bad that line really is.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Run blocking and pass blocking are two distinct skills.
And Dunn is a pretty good RB. He has a career, YPC of 4.1. Duckett is also is a good RB who doesn't get many carries.
It's a case of Thunder and Lightening (the real deal, not that failed experiment of the Giants with Barber and Dayne) splitting the yards and TDs. If each was a clear cut #1, they'd easily break 1200 yards.

The Rams should have done better with an Eagles team that is just resting its players.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
