My own views: This public debate this year has been the freest I can recall. Clearly this is because of campaign finance reform intended to keep big money out of the hands of the candidates and the parties. Well it worked. They are not getting the money, but the people are doing their own thing instead. And what we get is amazing. The Swift Boat ads and now this new piece on the torture of the Vietnam prisoners aided and abetted by Kerry. I can only imagine what George Soros has in the wings for Bush. It cannot be pleasant.
