I drove across the state to get to my job interview. Central Florida is still saturated with water. The runoff ditches are all still full, and an exit I used was almost under water. There were whole sections of trees twisted like match stickes, and steel i-beams curled like pipe cleaners. One nice thing is that most of the billboards are gone.
Right now, Jeanne is predicted to come ashore exactly where Frances did. Then she'll come by my place. But it's still many days away, and I'm pretty sure she's gonna turn north. I don't know yet whether that's good or bad for me. If it does hit, at least I won't be alone. Bunnygrrl comes home on Saturday.
