Yep. Les grenouilles will get one touch in ten.

Many thanks to Finbar for highlighting your oversight.
Is there no end to his perversity?

In his defence Jason is doing a fairly decent job at Sale. He is certainly more successful at club level captaincy than Johnny golden balls.
Yes, but that doesn't prove that the previously insurmountable gulf between the codes has been bridged, does it.

*I should point out here that, having worked there some time ago, the only good thing I have ever seen come out of Gloucester is the M5 heading north*
Put away your Hale & Pace joke book and get back to work.

    • An honest opinion Finbar - no joke intended. There are no major soccer side anywhere near that town so all the low IQ mob follow the rugger side - meaning there is a large element of their fan base that is unpleasant company - somewhat unusual for Union.

And I must have tempted fate - we drew them in the Powergen cup this morning at our place. Should be a nice easy win though.

I take your point. We have our own version in our neck of the woods. Western Australians.

Interesting to read this morning that the online bookies have France as favourites, reflecting that the Australian money has been for a French win.

Not being a West Australian I heartily agree.

finbar has it backwards of course as WA doesn't have a rugby team, forcing some of the more intelligent supporters to gravitate to soccer.

Well, yes, I can see that some people may consider those of some small import - provided of course that these people are unable to catch the weekends feature event of NZ vs Italy.

Yeah yeah, and when you're home in the Land of the Long White Clods, you claim to be West Australian. BTW, is that d*ckhead editor of that daily Perth rag still in the job?

If it were Marseille this would be fair – but it is Paris so the game is 50-50 at worst. Naturally I am supporting France myself.

The exception that proves the rule? There is a marked difference between the crowds in the UK – and the sound of knuckles dragging is often heard as a Soccer ground empties.

provided of course that these people are unable to catch the weekends feature event of NZ vs Italy.
The Italian forwards are starting to look useful and will compete well – but the Kiwi back division, even this young touring side, should cut them apart.

Something I'm sure will put joy into the heart of a certain Englishman (Moody, IIRC?) –
Tony Underwood (Jonah’s favourite footwear) retired years ago due to a bad knee. Lewis Moody has little to fear from a one kidneyed Lomu – rather the reverse. Moody has the strength of a Finnegan and the skill and guile of a Wilson or Backy – and is a flanker rather than a weak girlie to be run over.

Lets be honest here it is ridiculous for Jonah to consider playing rugby again. I admire his commitment but any hard knocks in the area of that transplant might kill the man – and rugger is not worth that (nor would it be fair on the poor sod who tackles him!).

Oh yeah gents – lots of Kiwi centres on display this weekend. Some even play for the ABs. Fascinating game with ABs v Italy – at any one time there could be 21 Kiwi’s on the pitch.

Horrible thing to say but the Kiwi’s seem to be the prossies of the rugby world – talent for hire…

That's fair. I'm supporting the Canadian Baby Fur Seals. That match is actually being shown live here. I have a bit of a rugby marathon starting in the early hours of Sunday morning. Four in a row.

It's his fantasy. Probably what has kept him going for the last couple of years. I doubt that any team could afford, insurance-wise, to play him.

Thank you for your support Havak, I am rather confident myself.

Naturally, I am supporting all the brittanic nations fighting against the heathens from the SH.

What? You mean I will miss the most important game of the week-end, the most tensed and filled with suspense game of the month, the Italians about to win against the AB!

Don't bet on it, though Australia seems to have understood that the game can also be played with forwards you are going to play against some of the best in the world.

That's what Eddie Jones keeps saying so it must be right. He also says France has the best back row in the world. I think he's Japanese-Australian-French.

Looks like we're going to need a new thread title soon. I propose:

You lucky devil – apart form the early hours bit.

I’m granted permission to listen to Tigers then watch England but I’ll see highlights of the rest at best.

I doubt that any team could afford, insurance-wise, to play him.
Good point – I hadn’t thought about the insurance.

                          Leicester paying prostitutes? *shocked*
                          Just the one.

I still don’t know why it’s in Paris – surely all the Aussies are working in bars down in the south east.

*crude cultural stereotypes – must be a Friday afternoon*

the Italians about to win against the AB!
I wish this were true – but I can’t see it. The AB forwards will be tested – but that’s about it.

you are going to play against some of the best in the world.
Certainly the most settled and proven pack in the world right now I would say. It will test players like Dunning that is for sure – he struggled against Scotland.

Eddie always praises opponents before the kick off – lets see what he says after the game.

Scotland play Japan this weekend – anyone prepared to take Japan as the winners?

Wales-Romania – even the Taffs cannot boof that up?

                          I have a counter suggestion:

                          Rugby – Tigers on Top

                          No?
