I pray for all in its path..we in southeastern North carolina seem to be a target of opportunity as we stick out enough to make a viable option...

according to Dr. Steve Lyons over at Weather.com we have a "Wild Card"..

It is a trough from the west..if it comes quicker than expected than it will force to stormaway..later than it will force it down and more toward Florida..

or was it vice versus..

at any rate...most probably a Cat 4 or 5

Man..we will still have to worry or at least be concerned about the warm Gulfstream..a buffet of warm energy to feed off of for Frances.....

According to the map on the front page, Frances will hit make landfall in Jacksonville.

This far out, it's unlikely to stick to the six day forecast. Doesn't mean it won't, though.

Emotionally, of course, I hope it misses us. Ethically, though, I don't wish my troubles on someone else. Just North and South of us is sparsely populated though, so here's hoping Frances makes landfall in a swamp.

It is a CAT4 with 140MPH sustained winds..

NOT even close to the gulf stream yet!!

This usually acts as an accelerent

Now if that darned system near Bermuda will keep from allowing it to attack further north..
