I can't think of a single thing I can be jealous of the US, apart from certain great rock bands and efficiency (but the latter is not a sole plus of the US nor is the US the most efficient). On the contrary there are tons of things from there I'd never want to see in my country.

It's always amuzing that when trying to explain the hatred of a large part of the world against you and you fail you fall back on that.

Honest answer, with the best of intentions.

        both...

I'm not angry at "America" per se... I'm angry at the politicians who do things in my name. I hold leadership at such a high standard because I believe we're the best country in the world, and we should act like it. I would say "10" then for overall. I don't blame "America" for the things that people like Bush and Reagan have done, for instance. I place blame for evil acts where it should be.
To us, it is the BEAST.

That is not how I am explaining the hatred. That is what I believe is the cause for some people, not the reason for everyone.

          Nice try though.

          EDIT: @ Paiktis.

            10 to the land.
9 to the people. There are some *******s, but they're everywhere. Most people are nice.
0 to the present government and its foreign policy.

Should make an average of about six, I believe.

my opinion might be biased seeing as I live in the U.S. and was born here, and volunteered for the military (though mainly for career reasons )

I'm the sort of guy who considers himself Pro-US, but from the right point of view, I'm more anti-US.

I voted 10. But if you asked how I felt about this administration I would vote a 2. But I seperate the U.S. from George W. Bush's administration.

I don't believe in the terms anti-US or pro-US it's just bullsh1t propaganda terms to try and make people think that it's an all or nothing question.

I agree Mike. Everyone hates the US until some evil dictator invades their homes and starts killing their loved ones, and than it's all "hey, US! Why don't you do something about this!"... then more hate.

Gave it an 8. I never give 10's so that represents a pretty solid score i.e. I'm pretty damn happy living here and wouldn't want to call any other place home, all things being equal.

The USA is the one who installs evil dictators in democracies.
