          • "lap dogs" are dogs also. Our dog is invaluable in protecting the house.

Is that a Chow Chow? They can get really big. Not as big as a Saint Bernard, still.

Yea, the best dog I ever had was a black lab german shepard mix. Wickedly smart, athletic and tough, and friendly.

                        • My family has 3 smooth Fox Terriers, my Mum being slightly large dog phobic and my dad adverse to the size of their craps. Also it is true that large dogs are physically capable of badly hurting humans, especially children and old people. A small dog can at worse nip a finger.

The oldest is Zoe, who has always been rather reclusive (it's hard to photo a dog who hides all the time), but she has reared 3 litters of pups, one of the finest being Xena.

Here is Xena sitting in her trademark position:

Xena is an attention whore, taking her photo is relatively easy.

This is the timid little Tina, Xena's (fully grown) Pup.

                          Xena and Tina are inseparable

Xena is a fiesty wee thing, and loves play fighting, she was still chewing on her mother Zoe when the poor old thing was about 10 years old (Zoe would never actually fight back). Now she has Tina to playfight with, the playfighting is very noisy with lots of growling and plenty of teeth but they NEVER draw blood or inflict pain, still its funny when kids visit and get hysterical because the dogs are growling and fighting. (however during Zoe's second litter, Xena got so jealous she would saveagely attack her mother and draw blood - but Xenas always had trouble with jealousy).

Our foxies are all perfectely capable of lethal force, routinely killing things like rats, ferrets and possums (In New Zealand, Possums are a pest). Altough they are primarly lap dogs.

Whats the difference between a town dog and rural dog?
Fat . Heres one of Tinas littermates, she's an attention whore like her mother. When she was about 8 weeks old a girl dropped her and broke her back leg - kids can be so ****ing clumsy with dogs. Luckily she fully recovered, but it required several operations and it can't have been fun for an energetic young terrier or her new family.

                          • This boofhead's as stupid as he looks. Sprained his wrist chasing a cat. On anti-inflammatories for 5 days. If he'd had any brains, he'd've caught the stupid cat.
