  • Interview on Thursday !

    Here's the role.

The post involves the development and application of analytical techniques to achieve forecast accuracy. The management of the demand forecast database ensuring all new customer and industry specific data is input and maintained. The administration and data preparation leading to the production of the demand forecast.
Sounds..interesting!! Just wondering if it seems a bit boring though? Still it's £16.5k which isn't bad for an entry role.

There's also a mathematical test, which I'm looking forward to given my last score for the last interview I went for. Something I should be able to do well in.

And a bit of stuff about the firm blah blah.
Gaz de France ESS has grown to become one of the leading energy suppliers in the UK. The unique strength and expertise in both gas and electricity has resulted in the company being able to provide an unrivalled service to business customers. They already have an extensive customer base with plans to extend their service to an increasing number of businesses across the UK.

£16.5k? Is that the one in Leeds?

Gaz de France? What happened to FTSE stalwarts like Scottish Power?

A job is better then no job but data base management involves lots and lots of data entry.

Very boring - I spent pretty much three months implementing a system like that in my previous job including the data entry of over 10,000 batches

My progress has been somewhat dicey.

On Friday I had an interview very near where I grew up, which was nice, paying £17,000, but the interview was so short I am not at all confident. Monday I had another interview which did seem to go really well, but for less than £15,000 when it includes some work on Saturdays and Sundays at no extra I had to tell the guy who got me the interview not to accept it if offered. I could earn that much at Tesco.

I got another interview offer in the post today, but I'm really apprehensive about even taking the interview- when they said, "south coast", I was expecting Portsmouth; instead, it's Poole, which is really too far to travel. What to do, what to do...

<£15k with weekend work included is really, really poor. Hell, £17k is pretty poor in my opinion. In this part of the world it would be very tight...

On £15000 exactly, that would come to £11857 after taxation at current rates...

Yeah...I find it quite shocking that because I work quite a few Sundays I actually pay more in tax than my mother earns
