  • 65% Portugal possesion of the ball, 35% England.

If you had a statistic on duels won, it would be similar.

But I agree and correct myself, not pathetic, England just wasn't match for Portugal by a long shot. But not pathetic, true.

    • My only complaints are that the ref was crap. You can not disagree on that account. He made too many mistakes. He also disallowed a valid goal. Campbell scored it, and look at Terrys' eyes. He never takes his eyes of the ball, and he never encrouched the goalie. Ricardo was on his back foot, and could not jump. If that had been Collina, we would have won fair and square. But, I suppose, there is always next time.

        • The ref was a typical European wimp. No tackles, no challenges in the air with the keeper, give a free kick if someone appeals, a booking if someone screams...

              • Portugal deserved to win, but England should have won. I have no complaints about the final result.

                • Well, I'm not English, but imho England won that game. That ref should have his licence revoked.

                  • The ref followed the rules that are valid out of Britain.

However, I somehow don't expect the supporters to feel that way.

                      • If you look closely, Ricardo was on his back foot and could never have reached the ball. Terry also kept his eye on the ball, and his arm was in a position that is natural when you jump up.

Are you saying that the English players have to keep their arms at their sides, but the portuguese can kick us to death? That ref was crap. If we had had Collina we would have had a fair game (we could lost, but it would have been fair).

Were you watching the same game? Portugal were the better side for 90% of the match... England played like an inferior side trying to cling on. The best team won.

Nah, I meant the penalty's, it's always cruel to loose that way.

Well, sorry, but I cheered for the Portuguese. I'll try not to be as bad toward England (who played great in this match )

                              • So did I, the English put up a great fight - for which I applaud them for - but in the end they lacked quality.
