    Name your Warship.

    Here in San Diego, the Diegans are somewhat pleased that the new LPD is going to be named San Diego. By that token, there have been some people (me included) that are pissed beyond all reason that the new American carrier is going to be named George H.W. Bush. I was hoping for Ranger or Independence.

    Now I read that the Future Carrier (CVF) for the RN is going to be called Queen Elizabeth and Prince of Wales.

    So, if you were put in charge of naming fine warships (I mean large warships, not dinky Frigates) what names would you pick?

    Franklin
    Midway
    Coral Sea

    I'm sure you can follow the pattern here. There will be no naming of large warships after mediocre politicians after the Lonestar Revolution!
