That's it, I've had enough.
The conservatives on this message board, while all wonderful human beings, have become difficult to stand. There are many, and while they may have certain ideological differences, they all band together under a common cause, much like the Republican party of the United States. Fundamentalists, neocons, republicans, and even fiscal moderates all have a common ground which allows for a great presence on this board.
It's time for a change, my friends.
Not a change with what I've just said. I think that conservatism is as much valid as liberalism. Some of my best friends have been money-grubbing chauvanistic Yankees-fans
.
No, the change I strive for is a greater bond between the liberals. Specifically, I am pushing for an Apolyton Democratic Party. We have the Communists, but they hardly speak for anywhere near the majority of liberals on Apolyton. While I used to be one, I found that my goals were more moderately oriented, and that the fundamentals of Communism, while admirable, are unattainable in a world dominated by American Capitalism.
So I ask you, fellow American Democrats, and even those Eurocoms, Social Democrats, Reagan Democrats, Utopians, Progressives, Liberals, and all in between, join in founding an Apolyton Democratic Party. We have to unite under a common banner in order to press against the hard-line conservative front.
(I'm in a bit of a revolutionary mood...though Democrat is hardly revolutionary
