  • Homosexual help

I don't want to offend anyone here. I just have this particular problem with some homosexual men.
I don't have a problem with gays having sex, kissing, public affection, marriage, or raising children.
My problem is when gay men in particular attempt to take on the mannerisms of a woman. It just seems fake and exaggerated to me. It seems so outrageous. The people who do this seem to be trying to be women so much to the point that they do things or make comments that I would find unladylike in a woman.
I don't know maybe there is a difference between being a gay man and wanting to be a woman.
As far as women go, everything they do turns me on.

A lot of it has to do with lack of testosterone, plain and simple. Many gay men have irregular levels of testosterone.

One of the most effeminite gay men I know only has one functional testicle, which is probably why he's so flamey. I do not believe it's intentional for the gay men that do, to act effeminite, any more intentional it is for you to act masculine.

Some gays act feminine because that is part of who they really are.

Other gays act feminine because they have been pressured by part of the gay ghetto culture to act that way, or else they will not be accepted by that particular group.

                  And Pax . . . .

the sad part is that too many straight people think of such stereotypes when they think of gays, even though such stereotypes do not represent the majority of gays.

I'm not sure if effeminite is the right word to describe what I'm talking about.
                    Let me give some examples.
I went to a gay bar and several of the men had their shirts over the backs of their necks revealing their chest. That's not acceptable at hetero club for men or women.

I recently went to Karaoke night at a local restaurant. I was with a party of people that included older church going ladies. One of the MC hosts was gay. He continous made sexual remarks to several male members of the audience. All these men came with dates so it was obvious that none were available. He topped this by standing on a chair and dancing in front of one of the guys.

A couple of weeks later I saw this same guy at a straight club wearing a woman's blouse/pants outfit. He clearly does not have the shape of a woman nor women's breast. He looked like a caricature.
Also, the speech and mannerisms make seem like they are trying to outwomen women. If a woman twists a little they twist a lot. If a woman says "girlfriend" every now and then when they talk, the gay guy says it cinstantly.

I think I find it annoying because I have a tendency to dislike people who I think are fakes.

                        While I'm on a rant . . . . .

I find positive stereotypes of gays bothersome too.

"He has great fashion taste -- oh, that's because he's gay."

"He loves the opera -- oh, that's because he's gay."

"He's culturally sosphisticated and likes to have tea with friends -- oh that's because he's gay."

Omg, gay people can have fun. The horror. The terror.

Though I gotta be givin' you props for *****in about the blouse/pants combo. That's just stupid.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.
                          -Richard Dawkins

There are those who are a bit over the top and as Mr. Fun said they do represent or give most uninformed people the idea that this is the representation for all gays across the board.

I have found that gay people on the whole are just a little bit more free and less inhibited as straights are. They are a bit more willing to live life to the fullest and push the envelope and see if it pushes back. It isn't a bad thing to live life to the fullest I think.

Just because a few gay men are flamboyant doesn't mean that all of us are.
