Not true, nobody is prevented from mariage as a union of a man and a woman; homosexuals declare they are prevented from a twisted meaning of mariage (i.e. a union of two people of same sex). Semantics is fundamental.

Well, homosexuals are not discriminated against, because they can marry member of the opposite sex. Is that the best you can come with?

I must concede though that I wouldn't mind much if homosexuals were deprived of marriage, if at least they could be granted the same rights through a civil union.

Does it cover ALL? The civil union has done much of the work here in Canada, but I still sympathize with those who want to extend it to marriage (which will likely be done by the end of the year).
