Unfortunately, the interior of the Opera Garnier was not condusive to pics. A shame, since it is stunning inside. This is a section of the Grand Staircase.

And the Escalier from the front. The woman on the stairs is indeed falling down, I managed to catch her just as she fell (or right afterwards), by chance. She wasn't hurt, have no fears.

This photo still astonishes me. The Palace of Versailles, as seen from the avenue leading up to it. The palace looks like a painting, given the lighting.

I was supposed to be admiring Napoleon on horseback in this pic, but thanks to Matt's wonderful photography skills, it looks like I'm just worried the horse is about to **** on me.

The lines to go to the top of the tower via elevator were enormously long, so we opted just to take the steps up to the second level (1,663 steps total).

Here's the view looking towards the Ile de la Cite. Les Invalides is the golden dome on the right, to its right can be seen the dome of the Pantheon, and to its left are the towers of Notre Dame.
