                            You'll noticed I very carefully said that believing in the ideology of communism is stupid.

                            And, it's further worth noting that the track record of capitalism ( albeit, at least a little regulated) indicates that the quality of life for the average joe is a lot better than it is in communist countries.

                              Following your logic Verto any kind of Christian symbolic should be banned to - isn't Catholic Church responsible for inquisition, crusades, and a bunch of other niceties?

                              Russian communism is essentially a social experiment that went wrong. Right now it is easy to say how wrong it was. Back in 1917 it was not obvious and communist ideas had some substantial support from people around the world. Heck, judging by Apolyton it has not completely lost its appeal even now.

                              There is a big difference between a regime that built up its ideology around hatred of "lesser" nations and a regime that tried to achieve brotherhood and equality for everyone.

                              An example with Christianity just shows that people possesed by some sort of messianic zeal often end up doing terrible things.

                                Fez, I just remembered I've got a list of history websites about three pages long, and several of them were devoted to propaganda posters. I have diligently copied them in here for your convenience, if you'd like to check them out.
