We need to get you Boys to God's Country.

Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

It's easier just to bash it, Lonestar, than admit Texas has some very beautiful scenery, as well as several modern cities and in some places, electricity!!

Yes. Alas, the Electricity part is mostly limited to the A&M research reactor and the Dallas Cowboys' stadium.

If you're talking about the one in California, it only has one R, e.g. Monterey. I'd like to live in the town next to it, Pacific Grove, which is as beautiful and quieter, and only a ten minute walk away.

If money is a problem I'd live further down the coast, anywhere from Big Sur to Cambria. If money is a larger problem than that I'd choose something on the Oregon coast. My girlfriend and I were out there last year and couldn't believe how cheap the real estate was. Mansions on the cliffs overlooking Portland (near the rose gardens) were going for $750,000, while large houses on the cliffs above the sea near Tillamook were going for $350,000. Unfortunately I have a long ways to go before retiring, so I'll have to hold off on buying for a while, and prices might go up in the interem.

                      • I took the quiz, and got to the end where they want your address before they'll continue. I'm not about to give that out, so I'll just have to come up with my own answer, which is that I'd like to live in Las Vegas when I retire. Housing is cheap, I could go to an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet whenever I wanted, and maybe I could deal blackjack part-time for extra money.
"THE" plus "IRS" makes "THEIRS". Coincidence? I think not.

Is that in Texas? Where is it? Look interesting. Looks more like Arizona which I love.

The Texas I saw sucked balls . But I really haven't seen that much. I took I-10 to Dallas. Then I took a highway north of Dallas to Amarillo (very boring farmland). Then I-40 out of amarillo into New Mexico. That's all of Texas I have seen.
