          That was in Fantastic Four, not Captain Marvel. And yes, the Thing was categorially dead. Reed used Doom's Go-to-heaven-machine to try and bring him back to life. Blah blah blah...

            I had heard God was Jack Kirby, but that was about it. Never heard whether it worked or not. Thanks, always did like the Thing.

            Lonestar, I know, was just satisfying a very tangential curiousity. Gracias.

            By the way, if you two are comic fans in general, keep an eye out for a new book called "The Ride". A friend of mine came up with the concept, and the first issue's written by Doug Wagner, with art by Cully Hamner and Brian Stelfreeze. B&W crime book set in Atlanta and Auburn, AL. The first issue looks very promising, but I have no idea when it's hitting the stands. [/shameless buddy plug]
