    Yeah Tia, I made you a legend, but you deserved it. You really ran with my Apolyton Dating Service thread way back when. (Or whatever I called it)

    I became the only one to ever hook up 2 Poly personalities.

    I'm told I shouldn't ask too many questions about how it panned out, but what the heck.

        Well back in the day there was no Off Topic, we just had strict Civ topics. The posting rules back then were super strong and there wasn't much moderation needed because the posters moderated the topics themselves. Any threads that started to go off topic quickly got the disaproval of all the postes in the thread.

        For example posting babe pic and saying, "I'd hit it" would have probably had everyone in the thread complaining within 2 minutes and I would have probably been banned.

        But of course we started seeing that sometimes the off topic posts were even more interesting than the on topic ones.

        So I posted a letter to Mark and Dan that we create an off topic forum so that we could have a place to let loose where it wouldn't mess up and pollute the on topic threads.

        Of course I'm sure the idea was started all over the net in different forums, and I'm sure Mark and Dan had the idea in their heads anyway. But Apolyton was the first place I saw an Off Topic area.

        I think it's worked out pretty well.

                              What ever happened to Xin Yu and kwang?

                              Xin Yu was the most unbelievable Civ player I have ever seen in my life. Un freakin' believable. That dude would post doctorate level elaborate mathematical formulas for every type of move possible in the game.
