  • Bush's First TV Ads! (Sneak Preview)

That's right... they air tomorrow, but we lucky devils can view and poke fun at them today!

Tomorrow, the first Bush-Cheney television ads will begin running all over the country.

Unlike the Kerry campaign's first ads last September, which included an attack on the President, our first ads are all positive, focusing on President Bush's steady leadership in times of change.

As a valued member of the President's team, you are receiving a special preview of these first three television ads.

To view the ads, please go here:

Thank you for your continued support. We're counting on you to help re-elect President Bush this November.

    Sincerely,

    Ken Mehlman
    Campaign Manager

While I supported the guy in 2000 and probably will in '04. (been waiting to see what the dem's have to offer, now waiting to hear what Kerry has to say) everyone can at least get to watch 'em if they want to...

And here are the ad scripts if you don't feel like actually watching them:

    "Lead"

    President Bush:
One of the things that must never change is the entrepreneurial spirit of America. This country needs a President who clearly sees that.

    Laura Bush:
The strength, the focus, the characteristics that these times demand.

    President Bush:
And as the economy grows, the job base grows and somebody who's looking for work will be more likely to find a job. I know exactly where I want to lead this country; I know what we need to do to make the world more free and more peaceful. I know what we need to do to make sure every person has a chance at realizing the American dream. I know what we need to do to continue economic growth so people can find work, to raise the standards at schools so children can learn, to fulfill the promise to America's seniors. Americans are hard working, decent, generous people. I'm optimistic about America because I believe in the people of America.

    President Bush:
I'm President Bush and I approve of this message.

Today, America is turning the corner.

Just curious, not trying to threadjack or anything. Pro-Bush folks are pretty much mythical creatures in this country.

That first one was awful. Camera kept jumping all over the place.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

                /me nods.

Did it then because he had a good social security plan which he has yet to implement.

Most certainly have to wait until some actual platforms are set up as opposed to simply pimping themselves out like it's been thus far.

It's technology that doesn't make something blow up, of course a Republican can't use it very well (I'm a Mac user, so I am slamming myself too. )

Eeeeeeew. Exactly like I expected them. But I guess it's the nature of politics overall and not just a Republican things.

                    Good commercials.

Looks like he's planning to run on an "it's getting better" platform. This will look increasingly smart as the year wears on.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

When you say they're good, what are the criteria on which you base your conclusions?

Stick with the status quo is about all he has, currently. We'll see if it does or does not bite him in the rear in the end (pun intented.)

I can't wait to see the ads where Bush will emphasize that Americans are tired of drinking clean water, breathing clean air, and convince Americans that the Republican party is naturally the exclusive party solely responsible for securing our nation against further terrorist attacks.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
