Yes, you're on to me, I'm a DL that registered in 2001.
Actually, I've been way to busy at work lately to have any time to post. I have a little lull right now, plus the girlfriend's out of town for a couple of weeks, so I decided to come back for a little amusement. Probably won't last long again. Trust me, though, I won't be posting an "I'm leaving" thread, just like I didn't post an "I'm back" thread.

Most Keynesists support further government interference with the economy, support taxing and spending, and support establishing more government programs. That's what FDR did. He used those ideas.
That's not the question I asked either, Mr Economist.

It isn't? Was there a hidden question in there? No I don't want to date you. You aren't my type.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)
To be fair, neo-Keynesians aren't very... Keynesian .
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
"What is the chief claim of neo-Keynesians regarding private markets and efficiency?"
I believe I answered that.

No you didn't. Can you please answer that specific question again?
I already answered it. Unless you want a freedom kiss? Now beat it.

The answer is that Neo-Keynesians believe that a completely private market system breeds inefficiencies that render the performance of the economy less good than it could have been.
I use that argument all the time here on Poly, you think you would have twigged.
