IIRC he may have also been succseful in arguing that any treatment he would get would be persecution for his political views and that would mean he was granted asylum.

With the same success Hitler, to gain asylum in GB could argue that Russians would persecute him because of his political views.
The amount of damage those two bastards done to our country is pretty much comparable.
Hitler would be excluded form getting asylum as he had perpertrated crimes against humanity.
