And I'm sure Republicans can be tied with support for anti-communist dictoatorships during the Cold War that have committed horrendous crimes against humanity.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

OUCH!!! And I just posted a positive thread about Kerry... There's no point in trying to extol the virtues of any of these people, it'll just come back to bite you on the a$$.

With that attitude, it's no wonder our country is going to hell

                It's not an attitude -- it's reality.

There are no Democrats today, nor Republicans today, that are not corrupt in one way or another -- from something minor, to something significant.

Can anyone here state why this whole deal just died back in "96 if there was anything significant to it? I mean, good ol Starr was out there trolling- I am sure if there was somehting to it, he could have always picked up on it..

This ended up just like "filegate", whitewater, "travelgate" and the endless other "gates" that went nowhere backn in the 90's.

                      This just in:

Presidential hopeful John Kerry denies allegations in Chinese campaign funds scandal. Says Kerry: "I don't even know what a Chinese is, I've never heard of them before."

                          Haha, no

But lets follow up on your point- for some of these , people did go to jail fines were issued- and inetrestingly enough, John kerry was not one of those people, nor do I even remember his name ever coming up back then connected to this.

So the republicans are trying to beat a dead dog- of course, as I said, they are also attacking Kerry for having been part of the Dukakis admin. ni Mass. ,, so I guess we can say that fishing season has begun.

Actually, I'm not sure of the issue here. It seems there's three:

                            1) China Aerospace's officials held a fundraiser for Kerry, netting $10,000, as thanks for him helping them list on the US Stock Exchange (I presume they mean NYSE).

                            2) The Chinese Government sends $300,000 to the Democratcs for reasons of "We like your president. We want to see him re-elected".

                            3) Clinton grants Loral, a US aerospace company, a waiver, that happens to help China Aerospace indirectly as their trading partners.

                            Even if
As Liu and Chung were lining the pockets of the Democratic Party's political elite, Loral handed over top-secret missile guidance technology to Liu's firm.
were true, I don't see what China Aerospace supporting Dems over Repugs has to do with an independant US firm's dealings with a Chinese firm.

A US company Kerry has nothing to do with, collaborated and traded with a foreign company. I don't see what that part has to do with Kerry. The waiver to Loral, which happened to benefit their trading partners, was Clinton's too. Now the first one, yes he did help them get listed, and yes they held a fundraiser for him in gratitude. I don't see that as a problem. It's good for the US for large companies to be listed on it's markets, isn't it?
                            Smile
For though he was master of the world, he was not quite sure what to do next
But he would think of something
