I just did the regional one, and I have to say several of the questions just suck.

"I feel that the death penalty is a just punishment for murder"

Well, actually I do, but because our justice system isn't perfect, I do not support the DP.

"Publicly or privately, parents should be allowed to spank their children"

I personally don't like it, but I've yet to be a parent and I've heard some reasonable people here at 'poly explain why they think it's necessary. That being the case, I do not feel I'm in a position to disallow spanking (as in legislating against it, which is what the question implies). So I answered that I agreed, even though I'm anti-spanking.

            Whatever.

            Anyway,

            1. Rocky Mountain / Alaska
            2. Texas
            3. Upstate New York
            4. Deep South
            5. NYC / New England
            6. Rust Belt
            7. Upper Mid-west
            8. Border States: Virginia, Tennessee & Kentucky
            9. Pacific Coast / Hawaii
            10. Peripheral South
            11. Desert Southwest
            12. Mid Atlantic
            13. South Atlantic

Bull****. Now let's see if I change those two answers...

            1. NYC / New England
            2. Upper Mid-west
            3. Pacific Coast / Hawaii
            4. Rocky Mountain / Alaska
            5. Rust Belt
            6. Texas
            7. Upstate New York
            8. Mid Atlantic
            9. Deep South
            10. Border States: Virginia, Tennessee & Kentucky
            11. Peripheral South
            12. South Atlantic
            13. Desert Southwest

Still a little weird, but better.

Couldn't try the States thing - too far removed.

Mind you, that's bull****. I just said I strongly disagreed with everything in the poll, because I strongly dislike inexact definitions.

In other words - everything in the poll was a trite, simplistic view of a buffoon.

Now, doesn't that make you all feel better?

EDIT: With "No Preference" (pretty accurate - I have no views on the internal politics of the US) it gave;-

what's scary is that the poll is probably more complex than average people view things

Updated... should I just write all of our names with grey in the graph? It seems to divert attention from the country flags.

I also haven't seen Al'Kimiya before around here, where is (s?)he from?
