    something really weird has to happen to keep Bush from getting re-elected
    Like the Democratic Party uniting. If we could do that, there'd be a better chance, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

      Neither do I... If Dean wins the nomination, many Dems won't even bother to vote or support him. If he doesn't get it, his young and loyal followers will be pissed and may not support whoever it is the Dems pick. Not a pretty picture for the Dems at this point in time.

        Yep. Dean has a 20% unfavorability rating amoung democrats, and a 29% unfavorability rating amoung all voters, which is supposed to be high for this early in the election (before Bush has spent 130+ million on negative ads). His base may be motivated (because they're angry) but he's not going to win on that alone.

          Or maybe one of the candidates will change their first name to Unnamed, and their second to Democrat?
