So, how many of you people play a musical instrument of some description? Whats your favourite instrument or which instrument do you most wish to learn, why?

I play the bagpipes, I suppose I'm reasonably decent. I compete in B Grade (Goes: novice, D, C, B, A at the top) and usually do pretty well.

I would like to learn the guiter at some point but only as a hobby kinda thing, nothing serious.

So yeah. (If you want a bagpiper for special functions then I'll do it, as long as you pay air fares and put me up, anywhere would be fine )

My primary instrument is the saxophone. Also play bagpipes, though I don't have a set of my own anymore (I wasn't particularly good anyway), and a little bass guitar. Also have some training in classical singing (Second Tenor).

I play and own both an acoustic guitar (Simon & Patrick Luthier, hand-made in Quebec) and an electric guitar (Ibanez JS1000).

We own an antique piano and I played that and took lessons for it for about five years, but I don't really play it anymore.

I can't play any instruments very well, but I play with the piano and ocarina. My brother in law plays bagpipes, my brother plays guitar and piano, one of my sisters plays flute and recorder. My favorite instrument is violin, and I want to learn to play it. My grandfather played and built violins.

I sing low bass in a choir that currently has about 40 people, it is usually more like 60. The choir isn't really affiliated with anyone, but it meets at a church (not my denomination). We just started a new rehearsal season last night, we're doing a folk theme, with some Paul Simon stuff among other things. I'll be singing in French for the first time. In the past, we've sung in Latin, Hebrew, and Spanish. We have a spring concert season and a holiday concert season each year. In the past we've done Phantom, the Sound of Music, and Oklahoma. My personal preference of music to sing or to listen to is classical.

I play drums and percussion with a band of old farts. We don't play any music written later than 1975. Actually had a rehearsal today.

I play guitar, keyboard, and anything else laying around. I've got a pretty sweet guitar in my Fender Strat AM Deluxe and a sizeable Casio WK-3000 keyboard and everything plugs into my computer and speakers with my Audigy 2 Platinum . I don't have really any experience composing stuff, but I'm trying to do some of the music for Candle'Bre right now and I think it's going pretty well.

I've played the trumpet for about five years now. Easily my favorite.

I used to play piano, but now it's too much trouble to find one. So I just got a guitar. Now I think I'm a rock star.
