usually i participate in forums because im looking for community that is hardcore about a topic of interest to me. If I wanna learn more about civ 3, I shouldnt ask gamefaqs ppl or any casual gamer. If I drop a Q at Civ MP or strat forum however, ill get good answers.
I try to avoid gamefaqs as much as i can, but sometimes its hard finding hardcore community ya kno? Thats when scrubby gamefaqs comes in handy.
Poly is probably the only forum where I post about anything but civ (what i originally came for) :-p:-pComment

Now, nowhere else do I visit. But I used to go to SpaceBattles, Shores of Valinor, CivFanatics, CGN, and the official Wizards of the Coast message boards.Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.Comment

I've been to CivFanatics and found it to be nothing special. Some good Civ threads, but nothing better than 'Poly. After that, it sux.
MZO is a cool place to hand out when the boards are active. I lurk there, but don't post much.
Counterglow is a decent place to go for just BS conversation (and to see who has been banned from 'Poly lately!)
