You want the Republican position on the the Florida 2000 debacle? Well, there was a lot written on it on both sides in articles during the whole thing with each party accusing the other of fraud and trying to steal the election. Since the Bush victory in 2000, Republicans were largely satisfies with the result and stopped worrying about it. Many on the left wing however were infuriated by the results and have continued to dwell on it, and have published alot of material on it. However, most of the claims have been outside the mainstream enough so as to not recieved much attention from Republicans, and so there had been little in the way of rebutting these people. I do know one of the more moderate liberal books on election 2000 was Too Close to Call. For a Republican perspective, you can check out a republican leaning publication such as newsmax or freerepublic and search that site to see if they still have stuff on Election 2000.

I will say, however, that even if Gore had gotten the recount that he requested, it has been shown Bush would have still won Florida.

Fine. I was wondering if there is an article which addresses those specific allegations which seem very serious indeed. Especially the "preparations" of the electoral lists.

They aren't though. He's very good at making his points seem logical and supported, while in reality they are not.

Alot of the claims he made about Canada in his "Bowling for Columbine" movie were refuted by the Government of Canada itself. That says something, especially since Mikey is so pro-Canada.

However he only states facts, as he claims they are. He states names, companies, procedures etc. Those can be easily checked to verify their integrity if there's political will?

Verto: Michael Moore countered that spinsanity crap point by point... I'm surprised you are still harping about that crap. So far, Moore hasn't had a critic prove him wrong on anything.

And considering all his critics do is attack his weight instead of his arguments, he's all the more worthy of the public's attention.

Name me some respected academics who even publically comment on him at all? I bet you can't. Pop journalists don't count.

what does this have to do with anything? it seems like academic types would only bother chiming in if somebody was completely wrong. Plus, why would they waste their time commenting on some documentary by a political commentator? Right or wrong... "academics" don't comment on such things.

Verto: what's so funny? I still have yet to see someone prove him wrong. He addressed the spinsanity column and other critics last month. Every argument from Moore critics has been shot down. That's why they resort to "uggghhh hhe's fat!"
