On end of year taxes there will be a new collum!

If you leave new york state to buy clothes in a neighboring state that dosent have the 8% sales tax, your givent he OPTION to add those to your taxes at the end of the year!

OF COURSE people want to pay those taxes, they just went to another state because er.... well because!

Illinois did the same thing for sales tax on large items if you went to Wisconsin (out of state) to buy a car or something else big. Unfortunately it was not optional. They would find out and come and get you.

If the amount was small I would pay the tax. If you get a reputation for being a stickler then you will probably be treated more leniently/looked over in future returns. Perfect for the return where you fail to inform the IRS of your massive windfall.

This is exactly how spam works. No cost to ask, therefore no possible losses. I wonder if you can add "NOSPAM" somewhere in your tax report.
