It's a giant step in controlling light. They could bend it around the ships... Also, what are you actually seeing when you look at stuff? Light reflection, right? What if that light is absorbed completely - shadowman, what if that light is 100% refracted - invisibility.

You do have to do SOME chores... I just hate laundry.

I fold
vacuum, mop
Cook Dinner, do the dishes
All the yard work

And that is all. Dusting, organizing, scrubing, window, bathroom, washing the dog etc... she does.

Doesn't seem fair, but it only takes me an hour to vacuum/mop (once a week), I am a better cook and quick at the sink, folding is done in front of the TV, and I like doing yard work (and has been raining for the past month so I haven't done a thing)...

She tried to get me to do laundry on top of this, so I f'd up threw a fit, and made a "compromize" that I would fold if she did the rest... She will sometimes fold anyway

wait, are the actual photons moving slower? Or is it they are just 'bouncing' around so much they to get form point A to point B it takes longer? If it is the first (which i didnt think possible, 'c' being constant and all) then that would have HUGE implications. For the reletivity equations still to work, if c changes then either space or time would have to change to compensate! Just imagine what that could mean.... However i doubt the actual photons slow down.

I don't see what your getting at. The photons do slow and stop, the speed of c is related to energy and mass of the photon is not a necessary constant since light does slow when it enters media such as water, glass, and other transparent materials. You seem to forget E=mc^2. The material converts the E to hyperactive states in the materials to such a point that c is reduced... The energy of the light is maintained, absorbed... Light does stop, can be absorbed, and even destroyed (black holes).

The time dilation probably does occur. Other experiments in this included pions and muons. The dilation would not be significant for us to notice as the slowing of time would occur from the stand point of the light particle and not of the material in which it is in.

Though I could be wrong.
