      • Personally, I'd rather wait for an English player undeserving of punishment and punish him (or her).
And if his name happened to be Martin Johnson so much the better?

The AB coaches decision was originally due for Wednesday according to the BBC.

I don't underestimate it at all. I know enough of English insecurity to realise that he's utterly despised.
Well our insecurity is another issue really – not really worth me debating with you. Campo of course is despised because educated Englishmen dislike overt rudeness (Campo’s number one life skill) and inaccurate criticism (Campo’s only other life skill).

I think the authorities just hope the problem will go away. The ICB is a pathetic organisation.
They make the IRB look Professional, even.

Playing cricket for a comfortable living and hanging on for the benefit year, which was always the basis of county cricket, is not conducive to hard-edged competition.
The game is shrinking at every level. Schools not playing it is certainly a factor. I am afraid I agree it is terminal. The sport is not very accessible to kids and schools will never adopt it on a large scale again – too much red tape and what little effort is put inot sport all goes towards the ultimate evil that is s*****. On which note will the Ferdinand verdict finally be given today? S***** really has handled this one shabbily.

Make the most of it. As we did.
I hope we do. Not in terms of in your face gloating, but in terms of growing the game.

You have been to Wallaby matches right – you must know how sickening it is to hear “Our Magnificent World Cup Winning Vodafone Wallabies (sponsored by Bundaberg Rum)” precede every PA announcement. You can rely on us to have more class than that – there will at least be no commercial endorsements in our PA ‘gloating’ And we have done the tri nations a service too as that phrase cannot be used at your home games for four years now. So what will they say I wonder? The trophy cupboard is pretty bare right now?

I’ll teach you to pick on our insecurity!

My tip is that, like Gregan, he'll play one more season.
At Tigers certainly – but for England I think this season may be the limit sadly. To say he will be hard to replace is something of an under statement.

This site has truly gone to the sh*thouse since MarkG went into the Army.
Hmm – looks like I should spend more time keeping up with Community news!

And France will win the Six Nations Tournament...
Will it rain in Paris at the end of March? I hope so!!

Mmmmm. Speaking of gout, I wonder whether anyone has warned Havak of the possibility.
        The rich man’s disease – I don’t qualify!
        Mitchell out, Henry in.

The All Blacks have fallen for the trap.
From unstructured attack to a man so obsessed with structure he has the team walk out in height order. He fits players to patterns not patterns to playing strengths. Smart head sup rugby will not feature in the next AB squad. Eddie Jones must be a happy man?

I just have to hear the Kiwi reactions to this – the guy was sacked by Wales (!) and squandered a Lions series that really should have been taken by the second test – is he the man to take the ABs forward? I just don’t buy that myself.

Ah, but insecurity is the issue. No one here takes anything Campo says the least bit seriously, and he's dumped on more Australians than he has Englishmen, and from a greater height.

He took the test a week later. I wonder what he needed to get out of his system?

No, the drunks' disease. It was only the rich drunks who were noticed.

I suspect Eddie is chortling in Japan at the moment. I wonder whether we'll see Carlos doing his thing again for the ABs?

I’m still not convinced – I think it’s about differing cultural norms and expectations. The Aussie ‘no response’ response is quite smart – but I feel a quick tap on his head with a traditional wooden Irish weapon is just as good a response. And I have no issues with insecurity.

He took the test a week later. I wonder what he needed to get out of his system?
Two days later surely – Monday rather than Saturday? There actually is no defence for missing such a test that I can see. Forgetting simply does not cut the mustard.

But you get very poor marks for your non existent Wallaby defence.

I know a lad who suffers from it – but then he makes me look tea total. He is a cider drinker – a drink infamous for aiding the onset of the condition. It’s acid crystals in the joints isn’t it – extremely painful by all accounts?

I suspect Eddie is chortling in Japan at the moment. I wonder whether we'll see Carlos doing his thing again for the ABs?
In UK club rugby maybe – but he hardly fits the profile for Mr conservative to use for the ABs.

I wonder if Mitchell has signed for someone up here yet? The big return home has all gone rather pear shaped for the lad so why not come back where he was happiest.

I was afraid this was going to happen.

I just read the news on Planet Rugby. All I can do is hope he has learned from his recent mistakes. Hopefully this indicates he has:

"I think you change your style, the Welsh experience was huge," he said. "I was very much a cup-winning coach. Now I think I am more of a people coach. To keep your job you have to think about results as well. So you have to get the balance right."

It's not an Aussie "no response". The Aussies say "There goes Campo again" and get on with things. No one's going to stop him or change him. He's like the idiot brother in the corner. He's there, he makes noise. Reacting to him and/or taking him seriously is the mistake the Poms make.

Two days later surely – Monday rather than Saturday? There actually is no defence for missing such a test that I can see. Forgetting simply does not cut the mustard.
Was it only two days? Sorry, I thought it was a week. I wouldn't have thought there were many substances that would disappear from the system in two days.

Is it? I have no idea. You can let us know? It's actually a form of arthritis. I think excess uric acid ends up crystalising and inflaming the joints.

I wonder if Mitchell has signed for someone up here yet? The big return home has all gone rather pear shaped for the lad so why not come back where he was happiest.
I think he'll finish up over there pretty quickly.

                      • I am a bit surprised a few news have not yet filtered into this thread:

                        England 42 - NZ Barbarians 17

Football Club de Grenoble 26 - Stade Toulousain 40

I have heard that the game was superb and that the Toulousains have even been acclaimed by the Grenoblois.

Racing Club de Narbonne 15 - Association Sportive Béziers Hérault[/I] 20
Montauban Tarn et Garonne XV 9 - Montpellier 6
Stade Français 19 - Sporting Union Agenais 7
Castres Olympique 9 - Association Sportive Montferrandaise 9
                        Bourgoin 40 - Section Paloise 17
Colomiers 18 - Club Athlétique de Brive 19
Union Sportive des Arlequins de Perpignan 25 - Biarritz Olympique 15

The "USAP vs. Biarritz" game was broadcasted on TV and was a very poor game beyond the forwards, Dimitri Yachvili (Biarritz) has proved once again he is not an international quality half-scrum as (almost) every decision he has made was a poor one, the Perpignanais have not been better. Add a poor referee over this...

Many Edmonds has not been consistent and alternated the good and the ugly though the better dominated. The greatest disappointment, as far as I am concerned, comes from Jérôme Fillol, Perpignan's half-scrum and former Toulousain. This very promising player decided to quit the Stade Toulousain a few years ago because he wanted to play more, he was rising and about to become a great player when he was injured during a game with the Barbarians. It seems he never fully recovered from his wound...

But the greatest surprise comes from Finbar not having pointed at the result of a given furry team...

I liked the report on the Planet Rugby website:

To the delight of the capacity crowd England let their hair down and played in the spirit of the jamboree event to produce some beautiful running rugby, but at times their execution fell short of their heady ambitions.

I'm still recovering from my hit-run trip to Melbourne and back to see my family for Christmas! You mean this result?

                          Saints 14 -d- Leicester 0

With Neil Back and J**** playing! And with the Saints' Ben Cohen away playing against the Kiwi Barbarians!

How long since Leicester were white-washed I wonder?

Easter is more important than christmas and the fact that it is symbolised by a sex obsessed vermin that dresses in brown really depressses me.
