Just wait for Tamerlin's version. Then his Director's Cut. Then his Deluxe DVD with his writer/director's commentary, out-takes, and his alternate ending where Napoleon only squeaks home rather than romps home.

Someone posted that a week or so ago. Keep up!

BTW, is it true you're the mystery candidate for Mitchell's job?

Apparently so. Haven't been offered the interview time but am hopeful.

I suspect the NZRFU didn't think you could fit them into your busy schedule. I'll give them a bell and let them you can squeeze in an interview.

Far be it from me to 'patronise' anyone but could I suggest we ignore the trolls from the inferior code.

Well as always thanks to Finbar for making sure everyone knows how bad Tigers are these days. I wouldn’t exactly say we were crushed. What did happen was that Dominguez once again made a difference. Had we had someone who can kick penalties now Stimpson has gone we might even have sneaked the game. As it is I don’t remember the last time both our starting fly half and his replacement scored tries. In fact it was getting hard to remember out last try.

The WRC still remains J****'s last victory. I can only imagine that he wants to retire with a WRC triumph as the biggest - and last - win of his career.
Personally I hope you are wrong. This coming weekend is a big test – Gwent Dragons are probably the weakest of the Welsh franchises – lose at home to them and Mr Richards time is surely over.

In the meantime Martin is occupying himself with a victory parade around London followed by lunch with the PM. Well at least half of that is worthwhile.

I see that an Australian minister has asked for the return of the RWC winning ball to England. It was apparently stolen by a member of the crowd (nationality unknown)?

Damn this forum for not allowing size=100,000 text!

Nuh. That was a story put about by your worst tabloid. The only ball unaccounted for is the one handballed into the crowd by Jason Robinson after his try. It was replaced at the time when it didn't come back from the crowd. The other balls used - including the one potted by Wilko at the end - were all accounted for. The IRB kept one, the others went into a lottery and were won by various people. So someone - possibly even the IRB - has the ball Wiko potted, only no one knows which ball it is.

I notice Mitchell and Henry are the only two nominations for the ABs' coaching job. The selection panel has flicked the decision to the NZRFU. Looks like Mitchell will be available for the vacant Leicester possie.

Naaaah! Leicester has forwards and Mitchell would have to fire half of the team.

I’m rather grateful that it does not!

Our worst tabloid – stiff competition there. Was it the Sun or the Sport?

Tamerlin is absolutely right – Mitchell can not be considered as our head coach as he would ruin the one strength we have left (the pack). However if he would consider being just the backs coach I am sure he could help us considerably. It depends how far his star has fallen?

I can’t believe what NZ are doing – do they not know the man they seem determined to appoint was sacked by Wales. Do they not understand the huge significance of that statement?! Graham Henry’s international pedigree – abject failure with Wales, shameful failure with the Lions. Perfect grounds for making him AB coach!?

Rubbish. One of the reasons Mitchell was brought in for the AB coaching position was his good work with the Waikato forwards.

                          You really believe that?

SevenTigers forwards made the trip to Australia with England.

Six of those guys were in the 22 for the RWC final.

I therefore stand by what I said - Mitchell cannot help us up front (where John Wells remains our only coach still really producing the goods).

Now if you know where a good Kiwi backs coach is available I am certainly interested...

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. I made the assumption that you were saying that Mitchell couldn't coach forwards to save his life when in actuality you were merely praising the current Tigers forward coach.

                            Tamerlin, however, is another matter...

It's a major concern and hardly a laughing matter. The problem is, I suspect, a lack of alternatives. Perhaps one of our resident Kiwi posters can bring us up to speed on the domestic coaching ranks.
