Timeline - I never said it was film of the year material, it was just far more enjoyable than I expected it to be.

Does Gigli count as a 2003 film for the US? I haven't seen a single mention so far, and although I wouldn't dare go, I'm sure there must be someone who has.
The Hulk is the most underrated film of the year. Finding Nemo is the most overrated, but still good.

I think a film that qualifies as the worst of All Time shouldn't make a Year's Worst List. It sort of transcends the rest of the field and would probably be unfair.

I think that its time I started boycotting Ben Affleck movies!!!
Then no Kevin Smith movies!

American Splendor, Lost in Translation, and I forget the whole name, a documentary on the Friedman family.
The Cukoo was good too, but not in the same league as those three.
I'm glad you liked "Lost in Translation" as well. I hope that more people get out to see that film. It is playing here in Santa Cruz in one of our Art House movie theaters in one of the smaller rooms.
As to the Friedman film, yes indeed that was excellent as well. I think its title is "Saving Friedman."
I have not seen American Splendor. But, since you and I agree on the other films, I will go see it or rent it ASAP.

Most dissapointing: Down With Love
Great cast, great trailer, great art direction and idea, terrible script and execution. The most akward movie of the year.
Agreed.
I also just like to say I had a similar reaction to "Basic" with John Travolta. I think this film was from last year. Good cast, trailers, etc. But it has to rank up there with the most horrid plots of all time.
I saw Down with Love on the Airplane and also thought it sucked, but was good enough to kill the duldrum...
Never heard of "Lost in Translation". Ned, whats the name of the Art House, I might hope over the hill this weekend to see it, unless it's raining. I hate 17 when it rains.
