You may claim that he wouldn't be given so much attention if he were white, but then, you wouldn't be giving silly excuses to the cops, like "he had a heart problem, he was going to have a heart attack anyway" or "he was high on drugs".

Show me anyplace where I gave an excuse for the cops. The fact remains that, when I first heard the story I knew he was going to be black.

And to use the opposite theory, just because he is black doesn't mean this is racially motivated. Some people are criminals, but I, at least, will wait to condemn one side or the other.

Unlike you, who has already condemned the police.

Lesson to kids: when planning to pick a fight with multiple police officers, don't get high on cocaine and PCP first.

It's a tragedy this guy is dead, because were he in his right mind, I'm guessing he wouldn't have behaved this way. He's ulitmately responsible for it, of course, and it looks to me like the cops did what they had to do to try and restrain a violent suspect. It's a shame it ended as it did, as nobody wins in that regard.

They were unable to understand that this man was acting more or less as a wild animal, which has to be tamed ratheir than maimed.

Given your subsequent posts, you obviously completely discount

They were blinded by the chicken**** cop mentality that says it's better to gang up and hit with the safety of your stick rather than risk getting bruised trying to tackle an unarmed man with your bare hands.

These cops should be convicted, simply because that man was never a real threat to them, but nevertheless they tried to smite him.

In your rush to place full and absolute blame on the cops because a 400 pound PCP'd up cokehead went on a rampage that elevated his already high blood pressure, putting more stress on his enlarged heart, you didn't notice that autopsies showed

You can be down and still struggling to get up, which is still resisting. However, if the tape doesn't actually show the man... "appeared to be" you said... then you can't draw a truly accurate and honest conclusion as to what the man was doing.

The tape started with the two officers named in the article trying to arrest the man. He lunged at one of them (ouch!) and knocked him down. Then there was some struggling, and they managed to take him down to the ground, but still one of the officers kept hitting him with the baton. Couldn't see the guy clearly when he was on the ground. So sure, he could be struggling, but it also looked like he was hit in the back and/or abdomen area.
