Hmm. 'Pedestal' might be good for this purpose, but the rest of the album is depressing.

As much as it hurts me to even think about it, I have to ask: so, Allie, how was it?
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

                        Thanks for the suggestions.

I've forwarded them onto my brother, who will be putting them to use very soon. He will arrive at his girlfriend's house tomorrow morning (Wednesday) and they're going to go "shopping" together for Thanksgiving in a nearby hotel and mall for a day.

Let's wish him good luck in absentia. He tells me this is likely to be his first time.

I can't believe no one mentioned Issac Hayes or especialy Barry White!!!

I had a particularly nejoyable time listening to Glenn Miller. "Moonlight Serenade"

Well far be it from me to call attention to my own post but...

Isaac Hayes's version of 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix' is definitely worth mentioning, as is his version of 'Ain't No Sunshine' on part 1 of the Wattstax soundtrack albums.

But certainly almost the whole of the 'Hot Buttered Soul' album and 'Joy' and 'Black Moses' are definitely getting down and dirty music.

A big yes to Barry White, and also a thumbs up for Hot Chocolate- tracks such as 'Emma' and 'Heaven is the Backseat of My Cadillac'.

Sarah Vaughan also made excellent music for explorations of the torrid zones.

...patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone. Edith Cavell, 1915
