In Greece it's around 70 euros a month but allegendly the price will drop.

Anywhere from 30-70 USD. I'm paying around 30 for my Verizon DSL.

I'm guessing ADSL here is more or less the same as cable (which I have)

      I think I pay about 44-45€ a month.
      128 up
756 down (theoretically 10MB/sec, but well, heh, you know )
capped at 10 Gig a mont of which a max 1.5G upload, however during the night 12 until 10 everything is done in halve. )

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Is Australia 'connected' through cable to the mainland, or do ISP use satellites?

We are directly connected to both Asia and the US.
