  • Bottle of wine a night: excessive?

Just wondering...I mean it causes me no problems in the morning, I can go to the gym at 8am each morning even after a bottle the night before, every two days usually.

I tend to have a glass when preparing dinner, then a glass with dinner, then finish off the bottle with evening television. It also helps me sleep easier.

    Anything wrong?

'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

Depends on if it's good wine, or the sort of stuff you drink while still in the paper bag.

A bottle a day of a fine Bordeaux wouldn't phase me.

depends on your weight I guess. (and dont go quoting your weight in stones or whatever )

Actually, mature, complex wine, like Bordeaux, has been shown to be able to cause hangovers worse than more simple, lighter wines.

As yourself, could you do without that bottle. If the answer is yes, you're probably fine. If you couldn't, then your becoming dependant on it, which isn't good.

It's double the recommended weekly intake. Make your own mind up.

                    I'm about 13 stone - 182 lbs.

The first day or two might be tricky (sleeping, relaxing etc) but after that, no problem.

A glass or two a day is the recommended maximum, so yeah, drinking a bottle a day is putting stress on your liver. In ten, twenty years you should be dead.

                      So keep it up!

Yes, but you're younger, and so more vulnerable to the effects of alcohol.

They drink mostly watered down wine. The best French wines may be very good, but French table wine is watery crap.
