PETA NEUTERS AIKEN
PETA has delayed a new ad campaign with the winning slogan "Get Neutered, It Didn't Hurt Clay Aiken," because it has angered Aiken's fans.
The ad, which features the lovable puppet Triumph the Insult Comic Dog from "Late Night With Conan O'Brien'' urges pet owners to neuter their animals. PETA made the anti-Aiken dig because the singer told Rolling Stone he ran over his kitten when he was 16: "I think cats are Satans ... they scare me to death."
PETA v.p. Dan Mathews said if Aiken posts a message on his Web site urging pet owners to snip their pets, the ad will be modified. Aiken's attorney refused to comment.
