About the bleaching all I see are excuses and half talk (by the british museum coincidently) not denials.
The sites I offered have the condemnation of both the one who did the destruction/bleaching as well as independent studies. Not just the opinion of the british museum. And reports of the original destruction (hammering them down) as well.
granded though you're a "british" living in melbourne. I thought you were australian hence the amusement over your fervor on this subject.
as for the value of the british museum without the "borrowed" stuff from greece and egypt and other countries and standing only in brit history, well you're entitled to your own sweet opinion of course.
