It comes out today in the U.S. A 4-CD set with 223-minute director's cut and numerous bonus features, much like they did with the first movie.

My wife insisted on buying the "regular" version when it came out, now I'm insisting on the extended version (I warned her...). Now she's not in a rush to get it. Bah!

223 minutes? The original was only 180 minutes--that's a LOT of new stuff. Fellowship only had 20 minutes of new scenes.Comment
