they all died of heart failure. And it doesnt seem to link THC with heart problem at all. It just tells you that they died of such and such heart problem, how much THC was in the blood and thats it.
just to get an idea, just how much level of THC is considered too much and normally how much do u need to get high?:-p

It's bull****.
There have been cases of men dying young of heart failure.
Anyone remember that basketball player who died of heart failure on the basketball court?
With a populations of millions, it isn't surprising that a few of them had marijuana in their system (it stays there 5 weeks)
It's the same logic when they try to say people who test positive for marijuana are responsible for killing someone under the influence if they happen to hit someone while driving. The pot could have been put in their system 4 weeks ago.

A number of the carcinogens found in tobacco are also present in marijuana, and at much higher concentrations. Tests on animals indicate that in terms of carcinogenicity marijuana may be 5 times more potent than cigarettes. If that's true then smoking 2 joints/ day would give enough exposure to potentially cause cancer."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!

When it can be proven, it'll be proven. Until then, all these obviously flawed studies are.... umm...flawed.... The fact millions have smoked pot on a fairly regular basis in this country alone without any observable, proven link to cancer or heart disease must be overcome with better science that the "study" linked in this thread. My God, those doctors cited people with enlarged hearts who died of heart attacks and that's supposed to tell us something? Then there's the problem with questionable THC levels in the blood...

Frankly, we don't even know what causes cancer...

Why do some people drink alcohol their entire lives and never get liver problems? You sound like a Tobacco Exec denying nicotine is addictive. Why do some people smoke their entire lives and never get cancer?I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Pot has the following effects.
Less fertility for males (the sperm expend all the energy initially, run out of steam long before fertilization. Honestly, I'm not making this up).
Screwing up your brain. Problems with short-term memory and with initiative. Which is mabye why agricultural workers engaged in tedious, back-breaking labour used it?
Genetic damage. Old studies claimed it. Newer studies cast doubt on it.
Inhaling the smoke from smoldering leaves. Increases the chance of cancer, period, I don't care what the leaf in question is. Add pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides and smolder them. Please note it is ILLEGAL to incinerate those substances at the temperatures found in a cigarette, pipe, or bong as the byproducts are often worse than the original substance. As tobacco is not a food or drug, there is no regulation on what it's sprayed with beside the EPA and environmental, versus health, problems. Since pot is illegal, I'd like to see somebody try to purchase some that is certified organic :lod:.The worst form of insubordination is being right - Keith D., marine veteran. I suspect some people are just going to get cancer because of their genes. Others may get cancer from environmental factors because of their genes. And others won't get cancer because of their genes. Is it still valid to say tobacco/pot causes cancer? Of course not, but does adding the word "may" create validity? I suppose so, but what is the basis for this "may"? When we're told this or that causes cancer, we're not told how they came to that conclusion (the animal testing is absurd) nor are we told that people who don't have a history of cancer in their family are most likely exempt and that people who do have a history of cancer in their family are the ones who become the statistics.
Let's say you're prone to cancer because cancer runs in your family and you smoke. So you get cancer and we're told you're "proof" that smoking causes cancer and that the rest of us "may" get cancer if we smoke. Sounds illogical...
